5 Surefire Ways To Get Rid of Headache

Headache is the most common and underrated medical issue. When you say your head is paining people see it like it’s nothing to worry about but it’s actually a thing to worry about. Those who suffer from it can only understand how it drains the energy and happiness out of life. But worry not, because I’m here to tell you some ways you can alleviate headache and too without those nasty medicines.

1. Lavender Essential Oil
Lavender essential oil comes handy when you’re suffering from a prolonged headache. It has healing properties which also aids in relieving from a bad headache. Sprinkle some drops of lavender essential oil in a tissue and sniff it softly until you feel better. Alternatively you can also pour few drops in your bath water for a calming bath session. Just remember that it’s not edible.

2. A Hot Oil Massage
Heat up your favorite hair oil and give yourself a hot oil massage. Do it for good 15-20 minutes. Remember to use light hand and strokes as to prevent straining your scalp muscles. You can also ask someone to do it for you and you’ll feel de-stressed.

3. Sip a cup of Tea
If I ever get a headache tea is what I first reach to. Having a hot cup of tea eases the stress and tension in brain and relaxes the straining muscles. Adding a little slice of ginger will double the taste and benefit.

4. Towel Therapy
Figure out the main cause of your headache. If it’s because of anxiety, tension, insomnia or stress you need to soak a towel in hot water and after squeezing it, put it on your head for a while.
If you have headache on one side or in just a small area, you need a cold water to dip towel in and apply afterwards to your head.

5. Breathe in Fresh Air
Spending whole day sitting on a chair can make you feel nauseated and feeling of negativity gasps in. This leads to tension and eventually leads to a bad headache. Get up and take a small walk at a park or at your balcony, terrace or anything! It will make you feel better. One thing you can do is get yourself busy in some hobby or activity.

These were the tips I personally use to combat headaches. How do you cope with it? Let us know in the comments!
