Tired and unable to move, we feel like staying in bed! Motivation can be stifled by stress sometimes! To help you relax after a long, exhausting day, I’ve created a list of ways you can reduce your stress levels.

#1. Have a foot soak

Put your feet in warm water mixed with Epsom/sea salts or essential oils like lavender, ylang-ylang, peppermint, or eucalyptus. You will not only feel relaxed after soaking your feet in these solutions but your whole body will be relaxed, too.

#2. Ban electronic gadgets

Your body gets stressed out from using mobile phones! You will become more stressed if you spend too much time on social media. Try to calm your mind by putting down your phone. Staring at the wall can give you a lot of inspiration.

#3. Go for a walk

Slowly strolling down the street or into the park may instantly calm your senses and make you feel better, but only if you aren’t too tired.

#4. Meditate

Did you know that you can meditate at any time? Crossing your legs isn’t even necessary. Simply lie down, close your eyes, and focus on a single thing, such as your ceiling fan, your breathing, or a calming meditation track (search on YouTube). By doing this daily, you will release stress hormones.

#5. Have a steamy bath

Take a long, warm bath to freshen up. Your muscles will relax from aches and twitches when you take a shower.

#6. Have green tea

Nothing compares to a good cup of green tea, especially since it is so healthy and delicious. Theanine is found in green tea, which counteracts the effects of caffeine and promotes relaxation. Additionally, it will keep you fit!

#7. Eat chocolate

That’s right! Is there anyone who doesn’t like chocolate? There’s no denying that chocolate is sweet and irresistible, but you also know it can reduce your stress levels. Be careful not to eat too much of it. Choosing dark chocolates over white chocolate is best for your overall health!

#8. Stop multitasking

You need to calm down, stop juggling multiple email accounts and constantly browsing Instagram. Focus on one thing at a time, and complete it before moving on to the next.

#9. Dim the lights

In whatever room you rest, dim the lights for a moment and enjoy the solitude and quiet. You can even play some slow music. You will be able to sleep better.

#10. Watch funny videos

You can do this to boost your happy hormones. Laughing hard at funny videos will automatically curb stress hormones and replace them with happy ones, so laugh and make others laugh as well!
